Students from the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at Runshaw Adult College enjoy frequent excursions as part of their course (see links on the left hand menu).
Course leader of the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, Alex Lowman, says ‘Visits are an essential aspect of the students learning experience on the course. Helping to build drawing and observational skills and the confidence to work from real life situations. Artists and designers need to immerse themselves in the world around them to gain new inspiration and creative ideas. We try to have at least one visit built into every assignment. We are going to Cornwall on a residential visit to gather first hand research for our landscape project. The students are excited by the visits and in past years have said that they have been some of their most memorable moments as a student at Runshaw College’.
