In October 2008 staff and students from the School of Visual Arts at Runshaw Adult College enjoyed a 5 day residential to Scotland. Staying in Glasgow we visited The Burrell Collection, Glasgow School of Art, Kibble Palace Botanic Gardens & Glasgow Museum of Modern Art. As we had a coach for the visit we were able to take day trips to Edinburgh for further gallery visits and architectural drawing. One day even saw us heading up into the Scottish Highlands for a landscape drawing and photography project enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Rannoch Moor, Loch Lomond and Glen Coe. The visit was the starting point to projects back in college for the students who study on the FdA courses in Fine art and Graphic Design and the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
