Disabled Students

Runshaw College is committed to equality of opportunity for all members of its community and we respect all students for their individuality, abilities and aspirations. We actively encourage applications from students with disabilities or learning difficulties and you will be given the support you need to achieve your full learning potential.

Runshaw College aims to meet the educational needs of the whole community. Students with disabilities or learning difficulties are welcomed and will be given support to achieve their learning potential.

• All students have the right to receive high quality relevant education at an appropriate level

• Support will be provided which encourages independence and autonomy. This will be negotiated individually to ensure success and help students move on to other opportunities in education.

Physical Access and Facilities

All three College sites are accessible to the majority of students with physical and sensory impairments. Please contact the Study Support Manager to arrange a visit to check out the site for yourself. There are special parking spaces too.

If you need more information, please click on the link on the right under 'Useful Documents' for a copy of the college's disability statement. In this leaflet there is a wealth of information about the College's facilities and also a chart to check which facilities each building has.
