Fundraising

Damat StoreyEach year a variety of fundraising events take place to support some very worthwhile causes both locally and abroad. During 2009/2011 we have supported The Damat Storey, which is a project at the Sir Adamjee Peerbhoy School in Damat, India, to build a school extension. The school receives no help from the government and relies totally on support from sponsors, therefore our donation has been essential to the schools improvements. The village school is vital to the people of Damat, where 85% of the population are still illiterate, schools like the Sir Adamjee Peerbhoy School is the only hope of a brighter future.  The college has raised over £23,000 to enable the school to build a new extension. In 2011 we commenced fund raising for a new charity named as Runshaw Gives a Dam helping millions of people to have fresh clean water near to their homes by the building of Sand Dams.
