A Level student Heather King graduated from Runshaw to take a place at the prestigious Norland College, the internationally recognised nanny training college that supplies childcare to a long list of royals, celebrities and the world’s wealthiest families.
Students at Norland graduate with a degree validated by the University of Gloucestershire, as well as a Norland Diploma, which teaches them hands-on practical skills. From avoiding paparazzi in a car to anti-terrorism training, these skills are not those acquired by regular nannies. The Norland Diploma is a distinctive and prestigious qualification which is studied alongside the degree course. All students must successfully complete not only their degree but also each element of the Norland Diploma in order to use the title ‘Norland Nanny’ (or ‘Norlander’).
Heather attended Norland on Monday, one of the first students through the doors in their new £2.3 million purpose built building. She’ll be taking part in a welcome week, including team building and children’s activities, ready for start of term next week.
