On Wednesday 21st March, forty students from local schools descended upon the School of Science to take part in our annual ‘Medical Marvels’ event.
Eight schools took part in the event which involved the transformation of Mardale Science Corridor into Runshaw Hospital Accident and Emergency and Ward A. During the sessions, students had the opportunity to carry out an assessment on our patient, Eileen Back, analyse X-rays and learn how to suture, alongside a dissection, anatomical drawing and effective communication practice, with both a relative and a paramedic, who handed Eileen over to them from the ambulance. A fantastic day was had by all and culminated in Greenbank High School being crowned Medical Marvels 2018!
Well done to all those who took part!
