Overall requirements for the A Level Programme at Runshaw College remain as 5 x B grade equivalent (5 x Grade 5 or B), in 5 separate national curriculum subjects. For more information on your future career path, visit www.informedchoices.ac.uk.

NB. Short course GCSEs only count as half a GCSE.

All students will need to re-sit GCSE Maths/English if they don’t have a Grade 4 or better.

Classical Civilisation – Grade 5 English (Language or Literature)

Computer Science – Grade 5 Maths (If Compute Science not taken, see Head of School)

Dance – Grade 5 in a written subject* | Successful audition

Design (3D) – Grade 5 Art & Design OR Grade 5 Graphic Products / Resistant Materials OR task set by the college

Design Engineering – Grade 5 in Maths | Grade 55 in Combined Science OR Grade 5 in a Separate Science

Drama & Theatre – Grade 5 English (Language or Literature)
