  • Job Description

    Junior accountant role available to be part of our accounts team in Blackpool, with one day a week day release to study AAT at a local college.

    We are a leading firm of accountants in the Lancashire area with offices in Preston and Blackpool. We are a full service firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, meaning that we provide advice to clients across a wide range of accounting, tax, payroll and business advice services.     We are committed to investing in our employees, in particular at a junior level, to provide a highly sought after training contract experience.

    You will begin or continue your studies towards the AAT qualification, being provided with paid day release to attend College.

    We will ensure you are fully supported throughout your studying at College, and you will benefit from the support group of our current trainees.

    Whilst at work you will be supervised by experienced, qualified Accountants who will help you step-by-step in understanding what is required to progress your career as an Accountant.

    Duties include:
    VAT Returns
    Processing of Accounts
    General office admin

  • Qualifications Required

    4 x GCSE A*-C /Grade 9-4 which must include GCSE English and Maths at Grade A*-C/Grade 9-4 or equivalent
    A pass at Level 2 AAT certificate in Accounting or a L2 accounting qualification from another awarding body or A Level Accounting at Grade A*-C.
    The ability to word process is essential.

    NB a diagnostic assessment may be completed to establish L2 accounting abilities in lieu of a L2 accounting qualification.
