The successful candidate will be trained in Level 2 Professional Cookery and the role will include:
•Fresh food preparation
•Finishing vegetables, soups, sauces, meat, poultry and fish
•Basic health, hygiene, safety and security
•Storing and cooking food safely
•Working as part of an experienced team of chefs
•Cleaning, tidying and kitchen standards

Candidates ideally have 2 GCSE’s including Maths and English grades A-D and have a willingness to learn
Hours of work are 37 hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis. The restaurant is open 9am to 5pm and your working week is very sociable hours.
Your apprenticeship will enable you to gain experience working alongside very experienced chefs and progress your learning by involvement with the Outside Catering Division, who cater for high profile events.
You will be encouraged to experiment and come up with creative dishes and desserts and alternative ‘free from’ recipe’s
The Apprenticeship training for this vacancy will be provided by Runshaw College. As this is a funded Apprenticeship programme it is not open to candidates who have already achieved a qualification at Level 4 or above.
