Avatravel is based in Leyland, they are a high street provider of coach holidays throughout Europe and the UK. Avatravel currently have 5 staff, you will be taking calls from customers, travel agents and wholesale providers face to face, over the phone and via the website.

  • Job Description

    Supporting and engaging within different parts of the organisation, interacting with Avatravel customers and agents both face to face and over the telephone. Carrying out a varied range of office duties to grow and support the day to day running of the business.

    Greet customers
    Call Handling
    Dealing with face to face customers
    Conduct holiday and day trip bookings with customers and travel agents
    Communicate with hotels via email or telephone
    Communicate with excursion providers via email or telephone
    Communicate with Travel companies via email and telephone
    Taking customer payments by Bacs/card/cash
    Booking customer transport
    Prepare travel tickets and travel packs
    Maintain social media sites
    Respond to social media correspondence
    Respond to customers emails
    Lead gathering from Social Media
    Build a photo database
    Research for holidays and day trips
    Proof read our brochures
    Complaints Handling
    Preparing and franking outgoing mail
    Photocopying and scanning
    General housekeeping

  • Qualifications Required

    5 x GCSE A*-D / 9-3 which must include GCSE English and maths at A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent.

  • What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

    This includes a knowledge test, portfolio-based interview and a project/improvement presentation. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
