  • Job Description

    After initial training, duties include:

    – Prepping up the larder section ready for service
    – Maintaining a clean section and assisting with the cleanliness of the kitchen overall
    – Service of food along with the other chefs
    – To assist wherever the senior chef deems it necessary.

    Once competency on this section is achieved, we would expect the candidate to learn other areas of the kitchen
    Cleanliness and a willingness to work are among the most important qualities we are looking for

  • Personal Qualities

    An eye for detail, clean and smart appearance, the ability to follow instruction, a desire to learn and a obvious interest in cooking.

  • Qualifications Required

    Basic food hygiene, ability to achieve Maths/English Level 1 functional skills.

  • Future Prospects

    Once qualified, we would look to move the candidate around the kitchen, with a view to moving up the hierarchy as positions become available.

  • What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

    Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes 3 assessment methods. These include an ‘On demand test’, a 120-minute practical observation and a professional discussion. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.

  • Things to Consider

    Please note that the wage may increase to £6.56ph if you are over the age of 18.
