Ref CC14 - Apprentice Nursery Practitioner at Dowry House Nursery
We are looking for a level 2 early years apprentice to join our team! Your role will involve general day to day care and education of children, tidying and cleaning duties and working as part of a team to provide a high standard of care.
- Job Description
The role of both the level 2 practitioner:
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
To understand and work with our nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.
To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.
To be a key person.
To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives.
Due to the nursery budget, we are looking to recruit a 16-18 apprentice.

- Qualifications Required
4 x GCSE A*-D / 9-3 which must include GCSE English at A*-C / 9-4 and Maths at A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent.

Possible progression to Level 3 or full employment

This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio and a knowledge test
