    Job Role
    • Participate, develop and grow through the engagement with Virtue Technologies’ Apprentice Scheme, in partnership with Runshaw College.
    • Work alongside other engineers to deliver support services to our education customers.
    • Develop skills to enable the resolution of end user IT problems.
    • Develop skills to respond to support calls, accurately recording support tickets utilising the company’s helpdesk solution.
    • Develop skills to monitor and manage customer on-premise and cloud backup and DR services.
    • Develop skills to support customers with technologies such as Endpoint AV, End User Technologies, Office 365, Windows Server and Active Directory

  • Personal Qualities

    Essential
    • Strong interest in IT systems at all levels – covering a range of interests from hardware technical issues to web-based applications.
    • Strong numeric skills, logical thinker, high levels of accuracy and attention to details.

    Desireable
    • Willing to undertake training to fulfil the requirements of the role
    • Willing to work additional hours to meet the demands of the role
    • MS Server Administration
    • Virtualisation (e.g. VMWare)
    • MS Office 365 Skills
    • MS Office skills
    • Client configuration skills

  • Qualifications Required

    • At least 5 subjects in GCSE Grades A to C and have at least Grade 5 or “C” at GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.

    • Relevant IT Qualification

  • Future Prospects

    This is a fixed term contract for the duration of the course.
