Are you an enthusiastic chef who wishes to start your career in a high quality, fresh food environment?
This exciting opportunity will enable you to gain experience in all areas of the kitchen whilst working towards a Level 2 qualification in Professional Cookery as a Commis Chef. There is great scope for progression and many of our previous apprentices are now Head Chef’s and Assistant Managers. We have 3 sites across Bolton, Adlington and Bromley Cross so keen to promote from within our own team.
As an Apprentice Chef, you’ll assist the team in food preparation and production, menu development and food tasting, as well as helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and organised.
You’ll need to be able to work well under pressure, our kitchen is busy and vibrant and the rest of the chef team will be there to support you. You’ll also need to have a genuine passion for cooking fresh food and a keenness to learn. We’re looking for reliable, punctual, people with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Our menus have a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery.
Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way.
Apprentice Chefs will work between 30 to 40 hours a week and your college time will be included in these. Please note you’ll need to work weekends and evenings and you should consider how you will get to and from the restaurant.
Level 2 Apprentices will be paid £6.00 per hour
Level 3 Apprentices will be paid £7.50 per hour
Finally, once you have completed your qualification within the role, you may be offered full time employment with ongoing prospects for career development with a company that is fast growing and vibrant.
