A Level 3D Design is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to explore materials and create three dimensional work using a broad range of materials and techniques. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto art and design related degrees.

Over a one year course you will develop a range of practical skills and techniques including drawing, painting, mixed media, print and 3D. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto the L3 in Art and Design or Graphics.

Over a two year course you will initially develop a broad range of practical skills and techniques within the areas of fine art, 3D, graphics, photography, textiles and contextual studies. Following this, you will then select an area in which to specialise in, where you will gain more advanced skills and knowledge, supporting successful progression into further study or employment within the field of art and design.

This Level 2 Apprenticeship course is recognised as the industry standard that all beauty therapists are expected to achieve. It covers many specialist roles and is validated by City & Guilds (C&G). Apprentices can also gain experience in a preferred house style throughout the whole training period.

Students who enjoy and successfully complete this course will progress onto further study or employment within the field of graphic design.

This course enables the Apprentice to become a fully qualified hair stylist, working in a fast moving, ever changing industry. On completion of the course Apprentices have much more confidence gained from the skills and experience they have acquired through training both in college and at work. Apprentices are also better equipped to meet the expectations and needs of employers. Becoming an Apprentice in hairdressing for those with an entrepreneurial spirit could lead to future self employment or owning your own salon.

They carry out duties like lesson preparation and work with small groups or individuals, allowing the teacher to concentrate on teaching the class. Some learning support staff specialise in areas such as reading, writing or special needs.

This course is designed to prepare you to support the teacher and the delivery of curriculum within a school, as well as introduce the skills necessary to help children develop self-esteem, independence and skills for learning. It is relevant for those who are already employed as a Teaching Assistant, or for those working in a voluntary capacity in a classroom situation or early years setting with children aged three or above. It is also open to those who have little previous relevant experience, but are committed to train as a Teaching Assistant. Coupled with excellent tutor guidance and support, through work placements, you will gain experience and explore the role of the Teaching Assistant, developing the skills of a reflective practitioner.

By combining practical experience with theoretical learning to encourage both understanding and the development of professional skills, this course supports the current Government initiative to develop the role of school support staff. Placement experience can be gained within primary, secondary or sixth form settings and maybe in a voluntary or contractually employed capacity.
