A Level 3D Design is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to explore materials and create three dimensional work using a broad range of materials and techniques. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto art and design related degrees.

Over a one year course you will develop a range of practical skills and techniques including drawing, painting, mixed media, print and 3D. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto the L3 in Art and Design or Graphics.

Over a two year course you will initially develop a broad range of practical skills and techniques within the areas of fine art, 3D, graphics, photography, textiles and contextual studies. Following this, you will then select an area in which to specialise in, where you will gain more advanced skills and knowledge, supporting successful progression into further study or employment within the field of art and design.

A Level Fine Art is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to work in a range of media and to explore painting, drawing and print making. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto art and design related degrees.

The Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is an intensive one year course. It is primarily designed to bridge the gap between Sixth Form and University studies, supporting progression to a subject specialist art and design programme at Art College, or to an Honours or Foundation Degree at University.

A Level Graphics is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to investigate the main areas of graphic design ranging from advertising to historical and contextual studies in graphic design. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto art and design related degrees.

Over a two year course you will develop a broad range of practical skills and techniques using traditional art materials as well as digital software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; you will develop confidence using Apple Macs, working to industry standard. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this course will progress onto further study or employment within the field of graphic design.

School Leavers (16-18)

This course enables you to become a fully qualified hair stylist, working in a fast moving, ever changing industry. On completion of the course you will become more confident, gaining skills and experience through training both in college and at work. You will also be better equipped to meet the expectations and needs of employers. Becoming an Apprentice in hairdressing for those with an entrepreneurial spirit could lead to future self-employment or owning your own salon.

School Leavers (16-18)

Hairdressers/barbers will be able to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using a range of techniques, style and finish hair to create variety of looks, and colour and lighten hair for ladies and men.

Hairdressers/barbers must be able to work with all hair types ranging from straight hair to very curly, wiry hair. They also need to be able to carry out consultations with clients, demonstrate professionalism, values, communication skills and safe working practices associated with their role.
