  • Maths Functional Skills Entry Level 3, Level 1 & Level 2

    Our Functional Skills courses focus on the skills needed in everyday work and social situations. They help develop practical maths skills and allow you to apply these to a range of realistic everyday situations. Whether you need to learn how to calculate percentages for work or balance your personal finances, Functional Skills Maths courses will focus on practical maths skills used in everyday life. Our courses are available at three levels (Entry Level 3, Level 1 & Level 2) and all aim to build on your current skills. The awarding body for the levels 1 & 2 is City & Guilds (C&G) and EdExcel for Entry Level 3.

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Gain skills and a qualification in creating high quality audio recording, with use of our Music Studio. Advanced Audio Engineering is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in music technology. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject will gain a single vocational qualification, which is equivalent in point score to a complete A level, and will typically progress to further undergraduate study.

    Picture this: a studio with the facility to take a photo and image manipulate it in our photography suites or dark room. A Level Photography is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to form a personal enquiry and expression using the selection and manipulation of images. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto Photography or art and design related degrees. Our excellent facilities include a darkroom and lighting studio.

A Level Sport and Physical Education is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to study a range of topics such as healthy and active lifestyles, analysis and evaluation of physical activity as a performer, evaluating contemporary issues within sport and optimising practical performance in competitive situations.     School Leavers (16-18)

    This intensive, full-time course focuses primarily on acting and drama, along with additional classes in dance and singing technique. You will be continually supported as you extend your performance skills in a range of styles and will be given the opportunity to take part in a number of public shows, some that you may audition for and others that you will automatically be cast in as part of your course. We often take some of these shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. You will also be taught the skills you need to pass auditions so that you can continue your training at one of the top drama schools or universities in the UK.
