As an Infrastructure Technician you will be involved in providing support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non-routine problems. Task would also include setting people up on systems and providing support when they need it, rectifying issues to maintain the organisations productivity. Roles would include Help Desk Technician, First or Second Line Support, IT Infrastructure Technician or Network Support.

Over a one year course you will develop a range of basic employability skills and knowledge in the areas of food preparation, cooking and food service, including food safety and health and safety. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto the L1 Chef Diploma.

Over a one year course you will develop a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the areas of teamwork, communication and leadership. You will have the opportunity to develop practical skills in areas such as desk top publishing and web-design. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto the L2 Information and Creative Technology or L2 Business course.

As a scientific laboratory technician you will be involved in a variety of laboratory-based activities within the biological, chemical and/or physical sciences. Laboratory technicians support scientists and play a vital role in assisting with standard laboratory tests, scientific investigations and the performance of important technical support functions across an organisation. They work in a wide range of organisations, including but not exclusively, chemical, primary and secondary pharmaceutical, healthcare, clinical research, biotechnology, formulated products, educational institutions and analytical sciences services and perform variety of tasks depending on the employer.

A Level Law is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to study a range of topics such as Civil Law and Criminal Law. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto a range of degree courses including Law and Criminology.

Our Functional Skills courses focus on the skills needed in everyday work and social situations. They help develop practical maths skills and allow you to apply these to a range of realistic everyday situations. Whether you need to learn how to calculate percentages for work or balance your personal finances, Functional Skills Maths courses will focus on practical maths skills used in everyday life. Our courses are available at two levels (Level 1 & 2) and both aim to build on your current skills. The awarding body for the course is City & Guilds (C&G).

Advanced Audio Engineering is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in music technology. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject will gain a single vocational qualification, which is equivalent in point score to a complete A level, and will typically progress to further undergraduate study.

This course is designed to prepare you to support the teacher and the delivery of curriculum within a school, as well as introduce the skills necessary to help children develop self-esteem, independence and skills for learning. It is relevant for those who are already employed as a Teaching Assistant, or for those working in a voluntary capacity in a classroom situation or early years setting with children aged three or above. It is also open to those who have little previous relevant experience, but are committed to train as a Teaching Assistant. Coupled with excellent tutor guidance and support, through work placements, you will gain experience and explore the role of the Teaching Assistant, developing the skills of a reflective practitioner.

Placement experience can be gained within primary, secondary or sixth form settings and maybe in a voluntary or contractually employed capacity.

It is a one year work related course where you will study YMCA Level 2 Diploma in Health and Wellbeing and YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and Instructing.
