IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS/CARERS and STAFF

In light of recent government advice and due to the closure of the college, we have been receiving many questions. Below are some of your questions, and if we haven’t answered your question here, then please email us and we will be happy to help. How long will remote learning last for?
On Wednesday 18th March 2020, we switched to home on-line learning on all of our courses and this will continue until the end of the summer term (Friday 3rd July)
Can I attend college for anything?
It is important that you stay home and stay safe. Please do not attend any of the College buildings.
Will I be eligible for a refund for my buss pass?
All students will receive a partial refund for their bus pass. This refund will be reimbursed in instalments of £10 per week after the Easter Break. Students must enter the appropriate bank details on the portal for this refund to be issued. An initial refund of £24 (18th Mar – 3rd Apr) will be issued after these details are submitted.  If you have any further queries in the meantime, please contact transport@runshaw.ac.uk
I am a School Leaver and was scheduled to come in to college for an interview. What next?
Your place at Runshaw is still safe! However, in light of recent government advice and due to the closure of the college, we will be postponing our admissions interviews, due to take place in college, until further notice. We will be in touch as soon as we can about firm dates.
How do I apply / get an interview for a course I am interested in?

How do I reset my Network Password?
If you have forgotten the password to your college account, you can reset it using the password management tool.
I need to return items to the Library. What should I do?
All library books have been put on an extended loan to cover the period of remote learning. E-books and e-resources are available via Discovery on the Library Moodle pages. No fines will be accrued during the closure period.  To contact the library and for more details, please see the email from the Library sent to your student email address on the 18th March.
I have a work placement arranged, will it still be going ahead?
Currently, all course related work experience and work placements are not taking place.
