Fashion and Editorial Makeup Artists

Vocational hair and media make-up is the practical, hands-on approach to studying for a career as a hairdresser, make-up artist or a specialist in special effects make-up. This will give you the platform to go onto Higher education to study a specialist area or employment within the industry. It is an exciting and creative course which requires excellent teamwork, working with peers, customer care and prepares you for industry. So if you have a creative flair or passion for hair and make-up this will be the course for you.

We have an extensive portfolio on our Instagram of students work from our level 2 and level 3 students, that will gives a fantastic insight into the course content and the creativity of the students.

On Level 2 we cover:

Basic make-up, occasion make-up, photographic make-up, lash and brow treatments, spray tanning, style and dress hair, semi-permanent hair colours and style and make a hair addition.

Level 3 you will study:

Media make-up and special effects make-up, airbrush make-up, prosthetics and bald caps, fashion and photography and creative hairdressing.

Potential students can browse through products we use and can look forward to a 35% discount when they sign up as a Runshaw media make-up student. Also, on the course, we use GHD products. This page allows potential students to see some creative hair styles for the summer festival hair looks which they will be creating at college.
