Faith at Runshaw
Here at Runshaw, our students come from multiple faith backgrounds or perhaps none at all. The college offers a warm welcome to all regardless of religion, ethnicity, sexuality, age or ability.
Below you will find details of what is available at college, should you be looking to worship, learn more or find a different pace in your life at Runshaw. There are a number of different services available to both students and staff:
- Multi-Faith Room
Across each of our three sites at Runshaw, there are designated rooms available for prayer or quiet contemplation for staff and students of all faiths.
The Chaplaincy team offer a warm welcome to all. The aim of Chaplaincy is to offer a space within college for both students and staff to explore issues important to you; whether these matters concern your faith or you simply would like scope for reflection and growth. At the Chaplaincy there is no religious pressure, and all are welcome. Confidential meetings are also available, to help with any worries you may feel or stress that you are under.
- Faith Festivals and Services
Services do take place at college, where students can celebrate festivals of their faith and are student-lead.
- Christian Union (Enrichment)
This is a dynamic society that is for both practising Christians and also those looking to learn more about the Christian faith – the CU aim to provide a warm welcome to all. Meetings take place each week, and regular events are organised, as well as guest speakers.
Whatever issues that you may have, you are sure to find a welcoming environment here at college. Our dedicated Chaplaincy team can be found in Student Services at the Langdale Road campus, and you are welcome to drop by at any point.
