On Friday 15th March engineering students successfully won the advanced category for the BAE engineering technology challenge once again. Previously held by Hutton Grammar, students had to design and build a system that would retrieve a radioactive core sample from under a bridge structure using electrical motors and control switches. Our teams entered the advanced category and designed two outstanding systems that beat the competition hands down with the additional bonus of the staff team also coming out as first place winners.
