  • Level 3 Graphic Design

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Welcome to Level 3 Graphic Design at Runshaw College. This two year course aims to provide students with the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification and equips them with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress into further or higher education, or training and apprenticeships in the creative sector. It is a stimulating and demanding course designed for those who have an interest in Graphic arts, giving you the opportunity to explore and develop your creativity.

  • Level 2 Health & Social Care

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Over a one year course, you will develop a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge to develop your understanding of subjects such as human lifespan development and Health and Social care values. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto the L3 Health and Social Care course. If you are interested in working with young people and adults as a youth worker, social worker, nurse, midwife or other health professional, this is the course for you.

  • Level 3 Health & Social Care

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Over a two year course you will develop a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the areas of life stages, anatomy and physiology and safeguarding children and adults. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto Higher Education or employment in the Health and Social Care industry. Areas include anatomy, communication, nutrition, equality, psychology, sociology, public health and health education.

    If you are interested in developing skills in working with children or adults through practical activities, then this course is for you. With activities including creating picture books for children or a healthy meal for adults, you get a real feel for working with children and adults in health, care and childhood settings.

  • L3 BTEC Applied Professional Engineering

    School Leavers (16-18)

    The Applied Professional Engineering courses incorporate exciting opportunities for students to develop their understanding and learning of engineering, in preparation for progression into engineering apprenticeships or continuing to university. The programme allows for a one-year transition programme, studying on a L2 BTEC or L3 Extended Diploma in Mechanical Engineering for two years equivalent to 3 A Levels, which gives learners the opportunity to develop key underpinning skills and knowledge, in fundamental subject areas, such as; Engineering Design, Engineering Mathematics and Computer Aided Design, all taught by industry expert Lecturers.

  • Level 3 Professional Performance Programme - Acting

    School Leavers (16-18)

    This intensive, full-time course focuses primarily on acting and drama, along with additional classes in dance and singing technique. You will be continually supported as you extend your performance skills in a range of styles and will be given the opportunity to take part in a number of public shows, some that you may audition for and others that you will automatically be cast in as part of your course. We often take some of these shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. You will also be taught the skills you need to pass auditions so that you can continue your training at one of the top drama schools or universities in the UK.

    91% of students who apply, gain places at accredited dance and drama schools. We take the best young performers in the North West and help them to develop the skills that allow them to progress on to the most prestigious drama schools and universities in the UK.

The course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter a career within the uniformed Public Services.
