T Level Transition - Digital Level 2

Do you like working with computers? Would you like a career in the IT industry? Do you like working independently and problem solving? If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of the questions above then you should consider studying IT Level 2. The course is mostly practical, with theory to underpin your understanding and prepare you for external assessment, and is delivered through a combination of lessons and practical workshops. You will study a variety of topics in the IT industry including computer systems, graphics, mobile app development and computer hardware.

  • Overview

    The course is mostly practical, with theory to underpin your understanding and prepare you for external assessment, and is delivered through a combination of lessons and practical workshops. You will study a variety of topics in the IT industry including computer systems, graphics, mobile app development and computer hardware.

    As part of the course you will also study English and/or Maths to develop employability skills and prepare you for progression.

  • Entry Requirements

    Level 2: a minimum of 4 x Grade 3s, please note you will also resit your Maths & English if they are not a 4 or above.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Two units through external assessment; all other units are assessed by coursework.

  • Progression Pathway

    Successful completion of the course may give you the opportunity to progress in college, into employment, or in the IT field as a junior employee or Apprentice.

  • Programme Specification

    The TLM level 2 Extended Certificate in IT User Skills in Open Systems and Enterprise is a practical course aimed to equip individuals with the IT user skills needed for full participation in further education, employment and society.
