The one year course provides an excellent insight into Tourism today and the varied elements. Units of study will be e.g. UK coastal tourism/know about airports and airlines/Customer service in travel/The UK travel and tourism industry. Practical and theoretical learning is also included.

The tourism industry is growing both in the UK and Worldwide and many countries now rely on it as one of their main sources of generating revenue, employment, private sector growth and infrastructure development. Throughout this one-year course, we look forward to teaching you all about this dynamic industry and showcasing the various careers available.

Our Level 2 qualification is highly recognised by the tourism industry and is perfect to help you improve your academic writing and learn more about the different sectors of the tourism industry. We work closely with tourism employers who help us to plan our course and ensure it is current and reflects what is happening right now; with this diverse industry. We have a variety of guest speakers and visits planned to help you gain a first-hand experience of the industry. This will boost your subject knowledge and enhance your assessment preparation.

- Entry Requirements
For our Pre-Advanced L2 courses our entry requirements are 4 x GCSEs at Grade 3, Maths or English Language or English Literature at Grade 3 and Grade 2 in the others. Level 2 courses last for 1 year.
Some vocational courses will have additional specific entry requirements or require DBS clearance to undertake placements. Information about this can be found on the Apply Portal, and on your offer letter which you will receive after your interview.
- How will I be assessed?
This course is 100% internally assessed and includes a variety of assessment methods which are designed to enhance your academic skills, build confidence and improve communications skills. We will assess you through written reports, presentations, roles play, Vlogs, Blogs and group work. Therefore, good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
- Progression Pathway
Once you have completed this course you can progress on to the Level 3 Tourism Management programme, apprenticeships or directly into employment.
