PGCE students at Runshaw College have put their new found teaching skills into practice this week by each giving each other a 10-minute micro-teach session!

Students on this full-time course, which started just last month, are not only our newest PGCE students but also our newest members of teaching training staff at Runshaw College after successfully obtaining their work placement with us!

Charlotte, who has successfully progressed onto the PGCE from initially studying the Foundation Degree in Tourism and Events Management at Runshaw said: “As a group, we are thrilled to be able to carry out our teaching placements at Runshaw College. It has really made the whole process really positive.” She continued: “All of the teachers have been so supportive and understanding to our individual needs”.

As part of the PGCE course, students are required to undertake 150 hours of work placement learning throughout this one year of study. And, as an Ofsted Outstanding College and a designated National Teaching School, Runshaw College is proud toffer the opportunity of work placements to a number of its PGCE students.

Applications for PGCE/Cert Ed September 2018 are being taken now and NEW work placement opportunities have been listed! Places are limited, please don’t miss out!
