Runshaw Further Maths students compete in the Liverpool Mathematical Society Sixth-form Pop-Quiz
On 5th March three teams of Runshaw Further maths students travelled to the Liverpool John Moore’s Student Life Building to compete against 22 other teams from the region. After 90 minutes of mathematical problem solving, the papers were marked and scores tallied.
Runshaw Team 1 (Lewis Clifford, Alex Lewis, Josh Sculfor, Daniel Sykes) were narrowly pipped at the post and had to settle for joint second place. Scoring was very close with only a few marks separating the teams with Runshaw Team 2 (Eleanor Armstrong, Jasmine De Goede, Charlotte Watson, Myles Hayhurst) and Runshaw Team 3 (Dan Bithell, Lucas Orritt, Kris Sens, Matthew Dobb) placing joint 9th.
