Cerys Shanks has recently won the Orwell Youth Prize with a climate-themed story about Blackpool.
Runshaw Student Cerys Shanks, who is a current second year student studying A Level English and Classical Civilisation, wrote a short story based on the concept of the Fylde Coast going underwater due to climate change, and won a prestigious national award for political fiction.
