In November, over 500 students from the School of Computing & ICT and School of Maths took part in the 2019 Bebras Challenge.

The Bebras challenges are made up of a set of short problems called Bebras tasks and are delivered online. The tasks are fun, engaging and based on problems that Computer Scientists often meet and enjoy solving. The tasks can be solved without prior knowledge, but instead require logical thinking. The aim is to solve as many as you can in the allotted time.

If you would like to try a few sample questions from the Challenge, you can try test questions online. Our students in the top 10% nationally include: Nathan Westwell, Dan Gardiner, Jasmine Neild, Adam Fermor, Robert Matthews, Aaron Earnshaw, Lewis Hamer, Izaac Threlfall, Chris Harding, Nathan Sutton and Isaac Parker. Congratulations to all involved!
