Our student lead magazine, The Insider, entered a national competition, the Shine Media Awards, to showcase their impressive design, writing and artwork.
The Shine Awards is an endeavour of The Stationers’ Foundation, the charitable arm of The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, one of the UK’s ancient livery companies.
The Insider won first prize for ‘Best Illustration and Artwork’ with an impressive image representing ‘Pride’, designed by our Year 1 Fine Art and Graphics student Katie Noble.
They were also highly commended for ‘Best Digital Publication Design’, ‘Writer of the Year: Non Fiction’ for a thought provoking piece of transgenderism within a Catholic High and ‘Best Multimedia’.
Our student Editors in Chief, Heidi Thompson and Luc Forsyth, have impressively reimagined the magazine this year and used it as a platform to celebrate diversity and individuality. Gaia Clara Kinder-Hine and Rebecca Link have been successfully appointed as the Editors in Chief for 23/24 and we are certain that they will continue to build the success of this impressive publication. Well done to all our students!
