On Wednesday 6th February, students from a number of local schools participated in the School of Science’s annual Krypton Factor event.
The afternoon included a variety of events including ‘Cadaver’- an introduction to Forensic Entomology and the use of maggots in post mortem examinations, ‘CSI Cretaceous’– a detective based dinosaur adventure in which students used their powers of deduction to identify the culprit of a dinosaur’s untimely death and ‘The Hunt’ where students had to answer physics questions by using a code derived from the periodic table.
Competition was fierce and Birkdale High School were eventually crowned as our Krypton Factor Champions 2019. Well done to all !
