In line with recent government announcements, Runshaw College will soon be implementing rapid COVID-19 lateral flow testing for staff and students. If you would be able to offer some support with this, please share your details using the form below. We will provide you with training on what needs to be done.
You will be working at the Leyland Campus with students to support the testing process alongside college staff. The roles available are Test Assistant (providing guidance and supervision to students as they carry out the test and collecting completed swabs) and Processor (preparing test samples for analysis, processing and interpreting results). Both roles will also have a responsibility for keeping the areas clean.
Prior to starting this volunteering role, full training will be provided. Most of the training will be online and this will be followed by a run-through on site.
All volunteers must be aged 18 or over. Current students over the age of 18 would be welcome to volunteer.
While everyone will be provided with PPE including face visors, gloves and aprons, if you are clinically vulnerable or extremely vulnerable this unfortunately won’t be the right opportunity for you.
