Runshaw student Keira Sutch has been accepted into the prestigious London College of Fashion to study Hair and Fashion Make-up.

Keira currently studies on our Theatrical, Hair and Media Make-up Level 3 City and Guilds course and has flourished during her time here. Keira chose Runshaw as her college of choice because her sisters and cousins studied here too, and because of their experiences here she knew it was a good college to study the course.

Keira has thoroughly enjoyed the course and has taken part in competition work, along with many opportunities to enter national, internal and online competitions, for example, War paint. Keira has pushed herself throughout and has challenged herself in every aspect – she loves the fact that it is a practical and creative course to develop her skills. The variety of topics has also been an enjoyment, ranging from body art, to make-up and hair styles. Keira has also found the encouragement and support from her teachers incredibly beneficial.

The process to be accepted to the London College of Fashion started with a digital portfolio of Keira’s work being accepted by the college, to which they replied back to her a few months later. You can view Keira’s exceptional portfolio by clicking here.

Her advice to future students interested in studying this course is to keep practising constantly, to take every opportunity that is given to you and to compete in competitions when you get the chance.

The undergraduate acceptance rate at the London College of Fashion is 23%, so this is a massive achievement- well done Keira, we look forward to following your progress and success in the years to come.
