  • Job Description

    Candidates must have a caring nature, you will be helping to provide a safe secure nurturing environment for children. You will be expected to engage children in play and learning experiences by contributing and implement age-appropriate activities.

    During your training you will be supervised by a mentor who will guide you in all areas of child development and the EYFS. You will need excellent communication skills to enable you to work as part of a team in promoting communication and language development, liaise with other members of staff and parents. You will also be expected to help and maintain a safe clean environment.

    Daily duties will include:

    Work within a team of Nursery Practitioners.
    Caring and engaging with the children.
    Participating in activities which promote children’s learning and development.
    Comfort children when necessary.
    Complete child observations and plan for their next steps. Help to maintain a clean environment.

    Caring, nurturing manner towards children.

  • Qualifications Required

    4 x GCSE A*-D/ 9-3 including Maths and English or equivalent.

  • Future Prospects

    progress to level 3

  • What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

    This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio. A knowledge test. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
