• Job Description

  The Trustees and the Head Teacher of Lever Edge Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant.
  You will be expected to work with individuals or small groups of children in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff and provide feedback to the teacher.
  Support pupils to understand instructions support independent learning and inclusion of all children
  Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping children on task.
  Support children in social and emotional well-being.
  Prepare and maintain learning environment and resources, including photocopying, filing; and the display and presentation of children’s work and contribute to maintaining a safe environment.
  What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • Teaching Assistant Level 3 Standard.
  • On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Regular work-based assessments/observations

• What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

  This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio. A knowledge test. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
