Students on our Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (FAD) course visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park last week on a research visit for their Final Major Project.

They enjoyed the experience of seeing a wide range of works in lots of different materials in indoor and outdoor gallery spaces. Artist Erwin Wurm’s Truck II – which appears to have reversed bending up the gallery wall – was certainly eye catching!

The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is an intensive one-year course where students complete after their A Level or Level 3 Vocational Studies and before progressing onto a degree. It is primarily designed to bridge the gap between Sixth Form and University studies, supporting progression to a subject specialist art and design programme at Art College, or to an Honours Degree at University.
