Runshaw student, Kate Winnard has taken part in a promotional shoot for an upcoming vintage jazz band called The Jazzabelles this week at Lytham Hall.

Kate talks about the opportunity to be a makeup artist for the day…

“At Runshaw I have completed Level 2 in Hair & Media makeup and I’m currently studying Level 3 Hair & Media makeup. I have a strong passion for makeup and my aspiration is to become a makeup artist within TV and film industry. This is because I love creating looks based on a character or theme and enjoy being able to create the transformation of someone. Outside of college I have my own business for freelance makeup artistry and have been doing this since I started college last year.

This week I have been lucky enough to be the Makeup Artist for the new and upcoming vintage jazz band called The Jazzabelles on their promotion shoot at Lytham Hall. The three vocalists are absolutely insane at what they do and together as a harmony trio they are incredible! This opportunity was amazing for me and I had the best day creating a vintage 1950’s looks on all three women with the perfect red lip to bring the look together. I stayed throughout the shoot and helped The Jazzabelles with outfit changes and to touch up their flawless faces. They loved their makeup and said in the near future when they are doing gigs I will be their “go to makeup artist now”! I was so pleased with the outcome of the shoot and had such a great day on set.”
