In 1974, the Rubik’s cube was invented, Stephen King released his first ever novel ‘Carrie’, a pint of milk cost 4p, and The Godfather Part 2 was released. In the same year, Runshaw College opened its doors for the very first time.

Runshaw College is fast approaching its 50th Birthday, and we are planning a spectacular celebration to mark this milestone.

The 50th Birthday of Runshaw College is not only a testament to our history and legacy but also a reflection of the incredible journey our alumni have been a part of. We invite you to play a crucial role in making this celebration unforgettable.

There are many ways you can celebrate our 50th anniversary from the comfort of your own device / platform. Runshaw’s Social Media Team will be producing lots of content throughout 2024, and we also encourage you to get involved – by sharing and creating posts of your own, using the hashtag #Runshaw50.

We are also encouraging alumni students to post on LinkedIn, Facebook and X with our @RunshawCollege and @RunshawCollegeAlumni handles so we can see your content! We are also giving you the option to download our 50th anniversary logo and it’s really easy to do so – simply click on the 50th emblem graphic below and save as a PNG. That way, you will be able to overlay the logo on top of your content with transparency, rather than a white border.
