Adult Education Provision

This qualification will give you the core skills to lead a team successfully and the confidence to tackle difficult issues, like underperformance. You’ll learn how to plan, allocate and monitor work; tools and techniques to develop yourself as a leader; and how to get the most from your team.

Our adult courses are delivered through work-based learning, which means no classes are involved.

Our Level 3 Team Leading has the option for Diploma-Only, and our Level 5 Operations or Departmental Manager has the option for both Diploma-Only or individual units. The diploma-only is assignment-based, with tutor support.

The course durations are as follows:

CMI Level 3 Principles of Management and Leadership: 9 – 15 months
CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership: 12 – 18 months

Please note: these courses can be completed earlier than the above time frame. Tutor support is offered up to the specified maximum duration.

If you are using this as a Continual Professional Development course, you may be able to get funding from your employer, please ask your employer if this is the case.

The price for the Level 3 course is £1,299. For the Level 5 course the price is £1,999, and for the individual units the price is £349.

4 GCSEs A*-D/9-3 which include English and maths. (5 GCSEs for Level 5)

If an applicant does not meet these requirements, they would need to provide sufficient work experience evidence and be able to complete a BKSB diagnostic.

In both qualifications, you will be assessed through completed workbooks and assignments on each unit to showcase your understanding and learning.

Apprenticeship Provision

An Apprenticeship is a job with training that enables you to gain qualifications and essential skills whilst earning a wage. It is a fantastic way for individuals to bridge the gap between full-time education and the world of employment. Apprenticeship programmes can also be used to upskill or re-train within your current employment.

Our apprenticeship courses are delivered through work-based learning, which means no classes are involved. Our apprenticeship trainer will visit you in the work place every 4-weeks.

The course durations are as follows;

ILM Level 3 Team leading: 15 months + 4 End point assessment
ILM Level 5 Operational or Departmental Manager – 18 months + 5 End point assessment

The full price for the Level 3 Team Leading apprenticeship is £4,500. For the Level 5 Manager apprenticeship the price is £7,000. Depending on the size of your employer this will be payable via their apprenticeship levy or a 5% contribution will be paid with the remaining 95% funding by the educational skills funding agency.

What your End Point Assessment (EPA) will consist of will depend on what Apprenticeship Standard you are on and will be carried out by an external examining body. This usually takes approximately 4-5 months to fully complete.
