Jane Vout – Employer and Community Engagement Manager

Job Role: “I manage the Employer Relationships Team (ERT) & Work Placement Team (WPT) at Runshaw College. This includes building relationships with key partners, community groups and employers in the local area. ERT are responsible for the recruitment of apprentices, organising guest speakers for the college and live briefs for students. WPT co-ordinate and arrange work and industry placements for our students, across a broad range of sectors”.

I advertise the jobs on the employers’ behalf & try and match current and new applicants to find the best candidates for the role. I help with CVs, interview arrangements and work closely with applicants to share new vacancies”.

I am the Partnership and Marketing Officer, and within my role I have duties such as: completing paperwork, setting up learners onto our internal database, obtaining employer information and doing allocated tasks set by the Employer Relationships Team. I look after the Digital Marketer Apprenticeship, across the whole of England. I work with businesses to identify their training needs, hire new apprentices and to upskill current staff through apprenticeships. I also take part in important activities for the college such as planning Open Events, marketing strategy meetings and Employer Partnership Board meetings”.
