Employability at Runshaw
Preparing for your work / Industry placement and future employment!
Before you start your placement, you will have access to a range of face to face sessions and online workshops, to help you prepare. The sessions will help you to enhance your employability skills.
Employability is not just about getting a job – it’s about a broader set of skills, abilities and personal attributes that enable us to be successful throughout our working lives.
Employability skills are necessary for the ‘world of work’ and are sometimes referred to as ‘transferable’ or ‘soft’ skills. These skills, alongside our knowledge and achievements will make us more likely to gain employment.
Put simply, employability skills will enable you to:
- increase your chances of employment and getting the job you want.
- improve your performance and add value in the workplace.
- continue to develop and progress in your career
Here at Runshaw we strive to ensure that ‘Employability’ is embedded within all courses that we offer to enhance the learning and development of our students.
