This Level 3 Apprenticeship course is recognised as the industry standard that all beauty therapists are expected to achieve. It covers many specialist roles and apprentices can also gain experience in a preferred house style throughout the whole training period.

A Level Biology is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to study a range of topics such as populations and environmental biology and mechanisms used to control processes in cells and organisms. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto a range of degree courses including: Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry and Biological Sciences.

Our programmes are validated by the University of Central Lancashire and offer a sound introduction to teaching, giving you an integrated overview of teaching theory and practice. The courses are ideal if you are looking to start a career in teaching or already work as a teacher but do not have a teaching qualification. You may also be able to undertake your teaching practice at Runshaw College.

A chef de partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen. This type of chef usually manages a small team of workers, which they must keep organised so that dishes go out on time and the work area remains clean and orderly.

In smaller kitchens a Chef de Partie may work independently as the only person in their section.

You will gain work experience externally and also in the College’s award winning Foxholes restaurant. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete their City and Guilds L2 Food and Beverage qualification progress onto the L2 Chef Diploma or employment in the hospitality industry.

It is now a requirement of Ofsted that all early years’ practitioners become fully qualified to Level 3 to gain the ‘licence to practice’. An apprenticeship is the start of that route and ascertains a candidate’s understanding and competence in caring for the children in their care and providing stimulating environments and experiences. They will have proven themselves to have the skills necessary to carry out a variety of tasks with some guidance or supervision.
