Level 1 Vocational StudiesSchool Leavers (16-18)
This equally practical and theoretical course is available to students who need to continue developing their GCSE Maths and English grades whilst participating in a course that has a strong focus on preparing students for employment or further training.
The course content covers a variety of subject areas that support many skills that can be suitably transferred to the workplace or onto a Level 2 course.
Students will explore a variety of vocational subjects whilst developing many skills such as researching, customer service, teamwork, social awareness, problem solving, self-motivation. Students will also learn about potential opportunities to progress towards e.g. Catering, Sport, Health and Social care, Public Services and IT.
This course is designed to act as a platform to support the students, assisting them to decide on a specific vocational course, that they can progress onto the following year. The course also ensures that students have sufficient skills to support success and helps to support students with the development of their Maths and English skills/grades.View Course
