School Leavers (16-18)

A Level 3D Design is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to explore materials and create three dimensional work using a broad range of materials and techniques. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto art and design related degrees.

This course is designed for you to learn and discover a range of topics and issues surrounding health and wellbeing in contemporary society with the aim of progressing to further study or employment. During your studies you will explore many of the key challenges and questions surrounding this topic, and in doing, so aims to give you the knowledge and transferable skills necessary for starting a rewarding and fulfilling career in the Health and well-being sector.

Over a one year course you will develop a range of practical skills and techniques including drawing, painting, mixed media, print and 3D. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto the L3 in Art and Design or Graphics.

Over a two year course you will initially develop a broad range of practical skills and techniques within the areas of fine art, 3D, graphics, photography, textiles and contextual studies. Following this, you will then select an area in which to specialise in, where you will gain more advanced skills and knowledge, supporting successful progression into further study or employment within the field of art and design.

This Level 2 Apprenticeship course is recognised as the industry standard that all beauty therapists are expected to achieve. It covers many specialist roles and is validated by City & Guilds (C&G). Apprentices can also gain experience in a preferred house style throughout the whole training period.

Over a two year course you will develop a broad range of practical skills and techniques using traditional art materials as well as digital software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; you will develop confidence using Apple Macs, working to industry standard. Students who enjoy and successfully complete this course will progress onto further study or employment within the field of graphic design.

This course enables the Apprentice to become a fully qualified hair stylist, working in a fast moving, ever changing industry. On completion of the course Apprentices have much more confidence gained from the skills and experience they have acquired through training both in college and at work. Apprentices are also better equipped to meet the expectations and needs of employers. Becoming an Apprentice in hairdressing for those with an entrepreneurial spirit could lead to future self employment or owning your own salon.

The Health & Social Care Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme suitable for those employed as care support workers in a social care, nursing/residential home or domiciliary care organisation. Candidates will be working for an employer as well as completing training and gaining a recognised qualification. They will be working under the direction of a supervisor or manager who prepares the personal care plan to set the framework within which the individual works.
