Following this, you will then select an area in which to specialise in, where you will gain more advanced skills and knowledge, supporting successful progression into further study or employment within the field of art and design.

    Our programmes are validated by the University of Central Lancashire and offer a sound introduction to teaching, giving you an integrated overview of teaching theory and practice. The courses are ideal if you are looking to start a career in teaching or already work as a teacher but do not have a teaching qualification. You may also be able to undertake your teaching practice at Runshaw College.

  • Engineering Level 2 - Performing Engineering Operations

    The engineering sector covers a wide range of occupations that can be quite diverse in nature. We provide Apprenticeships in 4 skill areas; these are industrial machining, mechanical engineering, fabrication and sheet metal. These areas can be applied to 100’s of work roles from manufacturing and production to technical and maintenance. Prospects in this sector are very good and a career in engineering can be financially rewarding too. Engineers get the satisfaction of seeing how their practical problem solving skills can make a difference.

    The mechanical manufacturing course is tailored for apprentices working with industrial machinery, plant and equipment to make sure it performs to the required standard to facilitate production. The roles within this job would include installation, maintenance, testing and fault finding.
